  • Advising on a delay in diagnosis and treatment of meningococcal septicaemia resulting in multiple amputations. The claimant was one year old at the time, and lost both legs below the knees, all of the fingers on one hand, and three of the fingers on the other hand.   • Advising on a delay in diagnosis of a bowel condition, leading to a permanent stoma, stroke and paralysis. The team settled the claim for a 7-figure sum.
