Prof. Dr. Andreas Walter is a partner and head of the Banking & Finance Practice Group. He advises companies in the financial industry (in particular banks, insurance companies and FinTech companies) on the development of innovative structures and products. He also regularly conducts large trials before civil, administrative and constitutional Courts.Andreas Walter, born in Frankfurt am Main, studied law and economics at Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, Philipps University, Marburg, Johannes Guttenberg University, Mainz, Harvard University, Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Massachusetts after completing a commercial apprenticeship.

Before joining Schalast, Andreas Walter worked in a large international law firm and prior to that more than 10 years in-house.

Moreover he is full professor of law and lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (Lectures Banking Law and Introduction to Civil Law) and Academic Vice Director for the Master of Financial Law program.
