Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has a strong reputation in representing creditors, creditor groups, creditors’ committees and debtors in restructurings, both in and out of court. The firm is best known for advising creditors’ committees and landed some major engagements in 2023 and 2024, including as counsel to the official committee of unsecured creditors of Rite Aid Corporation in the company’s chapter 11 filing. The firm has high levels of specialisation within its wider bankruptcy and restructuring practice.
