Dr. Axel Schilder is Managing Partner of the King & Spalding Frankfurt office and heads the German Tax practice of the firm.

Karriere

With more than 25 years of experience, his practice focuses on real estate and energy transactions, including financing structures and fund structuring. He also advises closed-end and open-end German and international private equity and real estate funds on tax matters, including cross-border matters, and advises companies as well as high-net-worth individuals and family offices on tax optimization. Axel also represents clients in proceedings before German tax authorities and courts. He is also heavily involved in the international renewable energy markets as part of the global energy team of King & Spalding with a particular focus on the German green hydrogen initiatives and programs like the H2Global auction for the German market ramp-up of green hydrogen.
