The team at PRIME Advogados – the exclusive member of the VdA Legal Partners network in Angola – was formed through the merger of ASP Advogados and LEAD Advogados post-publication in June 2025. It leverages its ‘extensive international experience’ and is equipped to assist with the gamut of matters in Angola, regularly advising major multinational financial institutions, administrative authorities and corporations. Djamila Pinto de Andrade leads the corporate and banking teams and is experienced in handling complex financial transactions, while Emanuela Vunge runs the administrative and tax practice. António Caxito Marques is qualified as both a litigator and arbitrator and has experience working for public and private sector clients. Raquel Lourenço is experienced at handling commercial matters and is very active in the real estate sector. Together alongside employment law specialist João Manuel Lourenço they form the firm’s leadership structure. António Sousa Penelas works in the energy, oil and gas, and mining sectors in both contentious and non-contentious matters. José Miguel Oliveira, based out of Luanda and Lisbon, is active across all Lusophone jurisdictions and is experienced in M&A, oil and gas, and shipping matters, with a particular focus on restructuring.
