Bruchou & Funes de Rioja is sought out by banking giants such as HSBC Latin America, The Bank of China, and Morgan Stanley for financing services including debt and equity capital markets, structured and acquisition finance, securitisations, and many more. It displays particular strength in equity transactions – despite Argentina’s minimal IPO activity in recent history, the firm has advised on two major public offerings in the last six years. Firm chairman Hugo Bruzone heads the sizeable banking, finance, and capital markets practice; his wide-ranging expertise includes equity offerings, tender offers, and debt securities. Highly regarded firm founding partner Carlos Lombardi participates in crucial corporate financings tied to M&A transactions. Analía Battaglia and Alejandro Perelsztein stand out for their acquisition finance, debt restructuring, and project finance advice to companies in the oil and gas, agriculture, and infrastructure sectors. José María Bazán assists with tender offers and regulatory compliance, while the ‘dedicated’ Matías López Figueroa advises arrangers, banks, and export credit agencies on syndicated and asset-backed loans as well as acquisition finance. The practice is further strengthened by Leandro Belusci’s knowledge of structured financings, including export credit agency, trade, and project finance; he was elevated to the partnership in April 2025. ‘Exceptional’ senior associate Ramón Poliche specialises in complex financial instruments and capital markets transactions. Name partner Enrique Bruchou retired from the firm in June 2025.
