Ensuring ‘compliance with all formalities and deadlines', Bomchil provides representation in corporate reorganisation and bankruptcy proceedings. This includes filing individual and class actions on behalf of creditors for the recovery of loans and convertible bonds. Distressed corporate acquisitions are another active area – the lawyers assisting with purchases where companies are subject to reorganisation proceedings, including where injunctions prevent the transfer of shares. The team is led by Tomás Araya, who advises companies on the restructuring their debts; and Martín Torres Girotti, who participates in insolvency and reorganisation proceedings. Additional partner-level support is provided by litigator Melisa Romero, who represents debtor companies in actions filed by liquidators, and commercial and bankruptcy lawyer Julia Villanueva, who joined the team in 2024.
