Tauil & Chequer Advogados advises on all stages of large-scale infrastructure projects, from initial contract preparation and project financing to construction and operation. The practice leverages its ‘extensive technical knowledge’ to handle capital markets deals and debt restructuring of project finance transactions in particular. The ’sophisticated’ team is led by Alexandre Chequer, who is especially active in oil and gas projects; Bruno Werneck, who is proficient in PPPs, privatisations, concessions and project development; and  Eduardo Lima and Luis Montes, who specialise in project finance. Other noteworthy practitioners include Juliana Deguirmendjian, a key contact for administrative and regulatory matters, as well as public finance law, and Anna Gouvea, who focuses on the financing of projects in the energy, infrastructure and natural resources sectors. Alexandre Arlota, who ‘possesses deep knowledge of construction and operational contracts’, joined from Mattos Filho in January 2025.
