The full-service team in DLA Piper Chile's Santiago office routinely assists with designing and implementing corporate compliance programmes. With ‘extensive knowledge of the subject matter and applicable regulations’, the six-member group also handles criminal investigations and advises on anti-corruption legislation. Other key areas are international sanctions, crime prevention, anti-money laundering, data protection compliance and corporate governance. The department additionally trains clients to identify potential risks and create specialised guides that are tailored to their specific sector requirements. Francisca Franzani's experience includes developing crime prevention models, compliance policies and risk matrixes, as well as training senior management. The ’outstanding’ Franzani also investigates white-collar matters, such as cybercrime and money laundering, along with handling preventive measures and internal investigations. Co-leading the compliance and white-collar crime practice alongside Franzani, Mauricio Halpern assists with designing and implementing regulatory compliance models, in addition to heading the firm’s banking and finance group.
