The firm has played a critical role in milestone transactions, including mezzanine financings, and construction, supply and financing agreements, for a litany of projects. Recent notable matters include Atlas Renewable Energy’s $289m financing for the BESS del Desierto project, one of Latin America’s largest battery energy storage systems; and the mezzanine financing for Verano Energy’s solar portfolio. The team’s multi-disciplinary expertise extends beyond energy, with the practice advising on strategic infrastructure projects such as Scala Data Centers’ groundbreaking project financing, Cristalerías de Chile’s plant expansion, and AES Andes’ Greentegra decarbonisation program. The firm continues to shape Chile’s energy transition, advising on major renewable energy financings, including EnfraGen’s $200m solar PV project. Practice head Rodrigo Ochagavía leads the team and is a longstanding mainstay of the project finance segment in particular; his experience encompasses decades of work in the energy and ports sectors, particularly -of late- on energy transition contracts.
