'Highly knowledgeable [and] highly skilled', FerradaNehme’s public law and government practice is distinguished by its expertise in administrative and regulatory matters, delivering comprehensive advice across numerous sectors including mining, insurance and financial services, port and transportation, infrastructure and technology. Clients range from public institutions such as Codelco and Chile’s national broadcaster to global corporations and international conglomerates. Group members are specialists in representing clients in complex litigation, regulatory compliance and policy implementation, integrating administrative law, economic regulation and constitutional law advice. The team have collaborated with the Chilean Food and Agriculture Organisation and other government bodies to develop environmental and agricultural regulations. Notable recent matters include representing Pegasus Group in litigation against the Public Prosecutor’s Office; representing major entertainment company Lotus in appeals against the National Immigration Service; and assisting the San Antonio Port Company with urban environmental disputes. The practice is led by Josefina Court, a former advisor at the Presidency’s Legislative Office who brings deep institutional insight and oversees client strategy, team coordination, and quality control. Associate practice director of the public law and energy practice, Fernanda Skewes brings sector-specific insight and leadership across complex regulatory matters; while associate Joaquín Carbone rounds out the team, adding depth in sanctioning and environmental law. Former practice co-head José Tomás Correa left the firm in April 2025.
