Delivering ‘a high level of competence in tax matters’, Garrigues Chile’s eight-strong team has significant experience in transaction-related tax matters; and the Santiago office regularly works on tax structures alongside labour, corporate, banking, finance and projects teams from the firm’s international network. Recent mandates include international bond issuances, M&A deals and reorganisations; and the firm’s tax disputes practice routinely assists with administrative cases before the Chilean Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and judicial litigation before Chile’s Tax and Customs Courts, Appeal Courts and Supreme Court. The practice also houses specialists in real estate tax (including VAT and income tax issues), and private client work.
