CMS Carey & Allende's six-strong technology, media and communication group is highly experienced in complying with Chile's TMT regulations; and assisting businesses with digital transformation matters, such as the resolution of data protection challenges and the implementation of data protection strategies. With ‘an openness and availability to tackle complex processes’, the team also conducts privacy impact assessments; and has a significant track record in major TMT-related M&A deals, its related expertise extending to network asset valuations, regulatory approvals and finance structuring. The practice additionally houses specialists in telecoms infrastructure, in relation to obtaining licenses, concessions and permits. Heading up the group, Ignacio Errazquin's practice covers telecoms infrastructure, as well as the public policy and regulatory side to data protection, IT and digital platforms; and former general manager for telecoms company Télex Chile, Ramón Valdivieso, is a widely-respected telecoms and IT expert who also advises on M&A transactions, debt restructuring and insolvency work. The practice further includes Carolina Veas, a specialist in digital markets, fintech and data protection; and at junior associate level, Andrés Schwerter. Former associate Isidora Rencoret left the firm in August 2024.
