Headrick Rizik Alvarez & Fernández's prominent litigation department handles civil, commercial, labour and administrative disputes, and acts in arbitration proceedings and other ADR methods. The firm’s clients span the cross-section of the local economy, including the banking, consumer, sports and telecoms sectors. The team acts across the full lifecycle of a dispute, from prevention and risk assessment work to representation before public bodies. Founding partner Francisco Álvarez has developed a practice in both judicial and arbitral claims regarding banking, corporate and telecoms issues. Álvarez and Tomás Hernández are acting for the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic in a fraud claim before the criminal courts, while Julio Camejo is director of the litigation department and focuses primarily on criminal cases relating to economic or financial fraud and litigation relating to civil liability issues and contractual conflicts.
