HCR Hewitsons joins the ranking this year on the strength of its corporate criminal defence work, for which Kathryn Gilbertson has a national reputation. The firm's insurance, risk and regulatory practice is led from its Thames Valley office by Heath Thomas, but Gilbertson works from Cambridge, from where she acts for clients in the hospitality and retail sectors, as well as property developers, construction companies, facilities management companies and more on criminal defence and advisory matters, including allegations of food poisoning, food complaints, food labelling, breaches of food safety, food hygiene and labelling laws, and anti-money laundering procedures.
