Led by Akio Kawamura and Ryuichi Nozaki, the investment fund team at Atsumi & Sakai advises clients on all fund-related legal matters, from initial structuring and managing relationships with Japanese regulators to compliance during the investment period and exit mechanisms. Kawamura is well versed in regulatory counselling for financial institutions and fund managers, while Nozaki has significant experience in asset management and cross-border investments. The venture practice team is jointly led by Yokihiko Machida and Osamu Fujiwara, who have significant experience advising both domestic and foreign corporations on venture finance, asset management, and investment funds.
