Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu‘s team provides advice on structuring investment schemes and project finance within Japan, as well as on the operation, financing and investment aspects of IPP projects domestically. The team is led by Jiro Mikami who is experienced handling infrastructure and energy transactions, including the development and acquisition of renewable energy and other infrastructure projects. Alongside at the helm is Makoto Saito who focuses on project finance, natural resources and energy, and construction and infrastructure matters. Terukazu Katsuyama is well-versed in project finance transactions involving energy, IPP, as well as PFI and PPP projects, acting for both lenders and project sponsors therein. Kiyoshi Honda has significant expertise in energy-related transactions, with a particular strength in the acquisition and development of renewable energy projects, including mega solar, wind, and biomass. Yoshihisa Watanabe is active in the renewables space, especially in onshore and offshore wind, batteries and hydrogen projects.
