Mourant maintains a broad approach to banking and finance matters, handling both the lender and borrower-side aspects of acquisition and real estate facilities in addition to assisting clients with the restructuring of their existing loans. A number of well known private equity houses rely on the firm’s borrower-side expertise, in particular in relation to acquisition financing arrangements, while also advising lenders on such deals. The team is headed by Gareth Rigby, whose practice encompasses real estate, leveraged and fund finance, and Jon Woolrich, a favourite amongst private equity sponsors requiring advice on leveraged credit facilities. James Hill assists banks and borrowers on real estate financing and loan restructuring matters.
