Appleby‘s funds team is engaged across the life cycle of investment structures, advising sponsors and managers on the structuring and launch of new vehicles, the restructuring of existing funds and also acting for both lenders and borrowers in fund financing matters. Practice head Andrew Weaver is an expert in the set-up of an array of fund structures, ranging from partnerships to unit trusts and targeting asset classes including real estate and private equity. Made partner in October 2024, Paul Worsnop handles fund formations and utilises his tech sector background to assist clients targeting this space. Christopher Reed arrived from Walkers in January 2025, bringing expertise in sovereign wealth, private equity and VC funds, while July 2025 saw Tim Morgan, formerly of Maples Group, join the team, adding further fund structuring and regulatory specialisation.
