The ‘well connected’ projects, energy, and restructuring department at DLA Piper Africa, Kenya (IKM Advocates) is extensively involved in projects with a public interest component, advising private developers, shipping companies, and, in particular, government ministries on matters involving power generation and green energy, transport and logistics infrastructure, housing construction, and health infrastructure. The team leverages extensive experience in project financing, due diligence, PPPs, and cross-border project transactions, areas that practice head Beatrice Nyabira is highly adept in. James Kamau is an essential member of the team, and eminently experienced in major projects spanning several jurisdictions, while Judy Muigai handles transactions involving public procurements, infrastructure, and PPPs. Cynthia Olotch departed the firm in March 2024.
