Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP continues to handle a large volume of international arbitrations, maintaining its strength in post-M&A disputes and multijurisdictional, Latin American cases. In addition to handling a growing range of commercial disputes arising out of Argentina, Brazil, and Peru, the team has served as lead counsel in investment arbitrations against Mexico under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). David Orta, who leads the team, represents both governments and investors in international arbitration matters spanning energy, oil and gas and infrastructure. Daniel Salinas-Serrano has co-led various arbitrations over his career and is a relied-upon member of the team. Dawn Yamane Hewett, who has 15 years of experience handling investment treaty and commercial arbitrations, is fluent in English, Japanese, Spanish and Portuguese.
