Browne Jacobson LLP‘s health and life sciences team supports NHS bodies, Integrated Care Boards, local authorities, and independent healthcare providers with regulation, governance, clinical negligence, commercial disputes, and procurement. The firm is also engaged for its work on healthcare system reforms, inquests and independent reviews, procurement, public-private partnerships, and collaborations between NHS Trusts. The team is led by Gerard Hanratty, who handles governance, inquiries, information law matters, and statutory obligations, and Clare Auty, who focuses on commercial health across both the public and independent sector. Fellow co-chairs are Jacqui Atkinson, experienced in advising Trust Boards and senior NHS managers on employment issues; Victoria Thourgood, who focuses on real estate healthcare; and Rebecca Fitzpatrick, an expert in mental health and mental capacity law who handles inquests and advisory matters. Carly Caton advises public and private sector bodies on commercial and contractual matters, including income generation projects, while Charlotte Harpin handles contentious and advisory public law issues. Christian Dingwall has retired.
