The environmental practice at ECIJA is equipped to advise clients on hazardous and hon-hazardous waste management matters, permits, audits and environmental impact assessments. The team, which also handles contentious matters, routinely advises on health, environmental and security aspects of mining and energy projects. Carlos del Razo steers the practice group and specialises in waste and water discharge management, air emissions, environmental impact assessments, remediation of contaminated sites and environmental litigation. Specialist associate Edith Romero moved into the public sector at the Secretaría de Energía in March 2025.
