Boutique firm Assembla opened its doors in March 2024 – and with Ibarra, del Paso y Gallego‘s former practice head, Adrián del Paso, as one of the firm’s founding partners – it has demonstrated robust environmental capabilities from the outset. The additional presence of counsel Mauricio Sandoval (who joined with del Paso), has served to ensure the practice had genuine depth. Lauded for its ’technical expertise in complex emissions and waste issues’, the pair handle transactional and advisory mandates, including environmental permitting, water obtainment strategies, environmental impact assessments, and hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal. Corporate clients from the consumer goods, mining, hospitality, chemicals, automotive and manufacturing segments routinely look to the team for support. Del Paso specialises in environmental law, life sciences, healthcare and regulatory matters, along with administrative law. Sandoval, for his part, majors on environmental issues and administrative and constitutional litigation. Since publication, both del Paso and Sanoval have left the firm - effective as of January 2026.
