The team is primarily focused on regulatory issues for large-scale mining projects; M&A transactions (and associated due diligence); project finance and capital markets; and cross border tax planning, along with associated commercial litigation in both administrative and commercial courts. The practice is led by deeply experienced corporate transactional partner Héctor Kuri, with key support from next generation financing and transactional specialist Florent Patoret (who is qualified in Mexico, France & New York). While the pair constitute the core of the practice, they can also call on additional partner level expertise as required - most notably Rodrigo Rivera on financial matters, Juan Carlos Burgos as regards competition issues, and Mariana Herrero on relevant environmental aspects. Former mining and corporate-focused associate Raúl González left the firm in May 2025.
