Applauded for its ‘excellent client relations’ and ’attention to detail’, the practice group at Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes S.C. is well-placed to advise financial institutions, public entities and private companies on financing and regulatory mandates relating to energy and infrastructure projects. The group’s expertise extends from power plants, pipelines, water treatment facilities and ports to highway and railway projects. Leadership of the practice is shared between Horacio de Uriarte, Patricio Trad, Eugenio Macouzet and Martín Sánchez. De Uriarte majors on advising lenders and borrowers on project finance and regulatory mandates regarding infrastructure; Trad deals with local and cross-border tender offers, M&A transactions and joint ventures; while Macouzet focuses on corporate law and M&A, debt and equity offerings, project development and real estate matters. Sánchez, for his part, primarily covers energy and infrastructure financings. In January 2025, both Anacandy Perusquía — who specialises in corporate law, project finance and M&A, along with private equity transactions; and Fernando Guerrero — who handles administrative law and regulatory matters related to infrastructure projects; were promoted to the partnership.
