The real estate capabilities of Baker McKenzie Abogados, S.C. take in a range of advisory and transactional mandates, namely sales and acquisitions, purchase and lease agreements, financings and transactional due diligence. The group, which stands out for its ability to call upon lawyers based in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Ciudad Juárez and Tijuana, is co-directed by Monterrey-based Juan Bernardo García, who chairs the firm’s global real estate practice group and majors on real estate transactions, agrarian law and projects. Taking leadership alongside him are Tijuana-based national group managing partner José Larroque, who handles the acquisition, development and financing of real estate and infrastructure projects in Mexico and Latin America; and Guadalajara-based Fabián Monsalve, who leads the firm’s North American real estate practice and specialises in matters of foreign investment, M&A, real estate and infrastructure.
