Following the integration of Sánchez Devanny, Garrigues has significantly strengthened its tax practice, expanding both its advisory and contentious capabilities. Key additions to the Mexico City team include Guillermo Villaseñor, a leading tax litigator with a longstanding track record before PRODECON, the Federal Administrative Court, and courts of justice; Mariana Eguiarte-Morett, who advises multinational clients on tax matters related to M&A, corporate restructurings, and project finance, and stands out for her deep expertise in VAT, special goods, services tax, and transfer pricing; Luis Antonio González Flores, who brings extensive experience in domestic and international tax audits and refund processes; and Jorge López López, known for his strong background in tax litigation. Other notable members include Ricardo León Santacruz, who advises on a wide range of transactional tax matters, and rising corporate tax specialist Arturo Garza Mátar, both based in Monterrey.
