DLA Piper Perú

DLA Piper Perú’s insurance practice group is called upon by financial institutions as well as insurers and reinsurers to provide guidance on transactional and regulatory matters. The team is also equipped to assist with bancassurance arrangements and cross-border transactions. The department is led by recently-appointed co-managing partner Sergio Barboza, who is experienced in advising on regulatory and transactional matters; Hernán Jordán oversees the practice group’s dispute cases. At the principal associate level, Nelly Espinoza is commended for her key role in insurance deals and counsel on regulatory challenges pertaining to policy issues, compliance (including regarding amendments in regulation) and coverage. Senior associate Farah Torres also advises on regulatory aspects in addition to transactional matters.
