With a dozen offices across the country, it is unsurprising that Muñiz, Olaya, Meléndez, Castro, Ono & Herrera Abogados not only fields a sizeable labour and employment team that provides comprehensive advice across a broad array of employment matters (including collective bargaining with unions, personnel reorganisation, suspension and dismissal, outsourcing services, and immigration permits for foreign employees), but also that it boasts a strong client base across key sectors including telecoms, finance, retail and construction. The practice is led by principal partners Ricardo Herrera and César Puntriano who both focus on labour and associated procedural law (and additionally, in the case of Herrera, constitutional law); with backing from a further four partners. María del Pilar Flórez handles labour, employment and immigration matters; Ricardo Vilchez focuses on individual rights and collective labour law; Boris Sebastiani undertakes labour litigation and audits, as well as complex collective bargaining; while Rocío Saux, practice is centred on human resources management, labour planning and corporate reorganisations, along with workplace safety, compensation and benefits. A strong tier of senior associates saw Oxal Ávalos and Guillermo Gonzales Z promoted to the partnership in March 2024.
