The energy practice at Dentons is recognised as a go-to for a diverse range of clients, including energy companies, infrastructure funds and new market entrants, who all benefit from the team’s multifaceted capabilities in finance and tax in support the life cycle of their energy projects. The firm supports cross-border transactions in conventional and renewable energy, and provides assistance with regulatory matters across Europe.  Christian Schnell, co-leads the practice, specialises in renewable energy and is well-regarded for his domestic and regional understanding of the energy market. Marceli Kasperkiewicz assists the team through his handling of renewable energy, particularly onshore wind projects. New team co-lead Piotr Ciołkowski joined the practice from CMS in November 2024, while Zofia Szewczuk joined the team from Baker McKenzie Krzyzowski i Wspólnicy Sp.k. in February 2025.
