A&O Shearman‘s public law practice is well placed to assist with administrative and regulatory issues involving the infrastructure, utilities, and telecoms sectors, among others. Former practice head Pablo Mayor notably departed the firm in July 2024, leaving Victoria Martín Sanz as the primary point of contact in the team. Sanz specialises in public procurement and contentious-administrative proceedings, with a particular focus on the gambling, energy, and transport industries. The group also benefits from the expertise of Álvaro Sánchez-Bordona, who concentrates on domestic and cross-border transactions and administrative proceedings, with a special emphasis on the energy, telecoms and transport segments, and Leopoldo Reaño, who stands out for his aptitude in administrative appeals, sanctioning proceedings, and environmental law. Mario García joined from Linklaters in March 2025.
