Jaren Janghorbani litigates both M&A and tort disputes out of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP‘s New York office, and also serves as co-head of the firm’s M&A litigation group. Recent highlights include representation of CBS directors in shareholder and derivative actions in the Delaware Court of Chancery arising out of the CBS – Viacom merger, where shareholder Shari Redstone was accused of breaching fiduciary duties. In January 2024 Janghorbani also led the argument for Solvay Specialty Polymers in persuading a court to accept a $394m settlement between Solvay and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, which initially filed suit following chemical discharges harming natural resources at the firm’s West Deptford plant.
