May and August 2024 saw Ismail secure defense verdicts for GSK in relation to claims that the heartburn drug Zantac contained a carcinogen. Similarly, he was also able successfully defend Bayer in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, where he secured a jury verdict for the defendant where a plaintiff brought suit alleging Bayer’s Roundup herbicide caused cancer.
