Based primarily from its Washington DC office, Linklaters LLP‘s main focus in the securities litigation field is defending senior executives at public companies across a range of alleged securities fraud violations. Many of these are government initiated civil and/or criminal investigations/enforcement actions, where the firm is particularly well-placed to advise, in part due to the preponderance of former government agency officials among its ranks. Formerly at the DOJ, team head Adam Lurie is particularly skilled at advising on white-collar-related securities matters, including defending senior executives against insider trading charges. Ex-SEC lawyer Doug Davison is also a key member of the team, regularly working alongside Lurie when there is an SEC-initiated component.
