New York-based investor rights law firm The Rosen Law Firm continues to gain visibility in the market, filing claims for pension, mutual, and hedge fund clients against companies alleged to have committed securities fraud. Many of these are Section 10 and 20 claims under the Securities Exchange Act relating to alleged misleading statements/omissions leading up to an IPO or other securities offering. The firm’s lean and efficient structure also lends itself to pursuing small to-mid-sized cases typically eschewed by larger firms. Another strength is its focus on bringing actions against Chinese companies raising finance on the US capital markets. The firm is aided in this regard by a number of Mandarin-speaking lawyers, including Jing Chen, who recently worked with name partner Laurence Rosen to bring about a notable $250m settlement for investors in Alibaba following its IPO in 2014.
