HSF Kramer has a municipal and infrastructure special situations subgroup led by Amy Caton within its wider bankruptcy and restructuring team. It is particularly known for representing creditors, including bondholders and holders of unsecured debt/claims, in substantial municipal restructurings. It has continued to represent the ad-hoc committee of ten state attorneys general, six municipalities, the plaintiffs executive committee and a federally recognized native American tribe in the bankruptcy cases of Purdue Pharma. Kenneth Eckstein is co-chair of the bankruptcy and restructuring team, and is another vastly experienced practitioner with a long background in municipal cases.
