The Washington DC-based government relations practice at Arnold & Porter provides comprehensive support on lobbying and in legislative debates, through strong relationships with members of the legislative and executive branches of government, as well as providing strategic advice to clients navigating the evolving regulatory and legislative landscape. The firm has fostered particularly strong relationships with clients in the healthcare and life sciences branch, and advises clients in the education, cybersecurity, technology and manufacturing and energy spaces, among others. Practice head Eugenia Pierson focuses on healthcare legislative advocacy, drawing on her previous experience as a staff member on the house energy subcommittee on health. Kevin O’Neill’s broad practice covers lobbying in a range of sectors. Mark Epley and Janice Bashford are well versed in congressional oversight and investigations, while Bobby McMillin has in-depth lobbying expertise in the healthcare industry, including drug pricing, FDA regulated products and health IT and cybersecurity. Among the departures in 2024 were policy advisors Yuvaraj Sivalingam, Jessica Monahan and Satya Thallam, and senior policy advisors Katie Pettibone and Alexander Walker-Griffin.
