Advising HCA Inc. on Medicare/Medicaid, fraud and abuse, regulatory, operational and compliance issues.
Assisted Adelanto with successfully obtaining governmental approvals and in implementing numerous local provider taxes that have generated hundreds of millions of dollars in additional Medicaid funding to hospitals in communities in Texas and Florida. The firm assisted with the creation and implementation of Medicaid managed care programs to enhance payment rates to hospitals in Texas and Florida.
Advised Barclays as the direct purchaser of tax-exempt bonds issued on a forward delivery basis for Health First, Inc. This multi-year financing deal was structured with three series of bonds sold in 2022 with one series delivered in each of 2022, 2023 and finally in 2024. This delivery structure allowed Health First to best meet its needs and those of the communities it serves.
