Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass LLP‘s real estate department encompasses land use and zoning and counts real estate companies, nonprofits, and professional sports teams among its client roster. The team is currently advising Google on the largest development project in San Jose’s history, which will include office, retail and residential units. Miles Imwalle recently replaced Matthew Bove as practice head, although he remains within the department. Imwalle brings his land use expertise to large developments including industrial and renewable energy projects.   • Representing Vallco Property Owner LLC in its decade-long efforts to redevelop the 50-acre Vallco Mall in Cupertino into a new mixed-use town center that will include 2,669 residential units, 1.9 million square feet of office and over 200,000 square feet of retail. This was the first mixed-income project in the state to be approved under SB 35.
  • Representing Lane Partners on all aspects of land use and development for Southline, a 2.8 million square foot transit-oriented office/life science project in South San Francisco, and Parkline, a proposed $1 billion+ mixed-use neighborhood on SRI’s 64-acre campus in MenloPark that would include 800 new homes and 1.1 million square feet of innovative office/R&D space in the heart of Silicon Valley.
