Dentons‘ tax practice advises on a broad spectrum of international and local tax matters, including both direct and indirect taxation. The team has considerable experience assisting multinational clients with the tax aspects of cross-border business operations, particularly in the pharmaceutical and oil and gas sectors. It also provides support on the tax implications of business restructuring, the formation or liquidation of companies, and new investment structures. In addition, the group is active in representing clients in tax disputes and audits, including transfer pricing and customs related matters, and advising on tax contributions and compliance requirements arising from regulatory changes. The practice is jointly led by senior counsels Moisés Vallenilla, who advises on the tax treatment of international transactions and investments; Oscar Cunto André, who focuses on tax disputes; and Juan Andrés Osorio, who brings to bear experience in income tax, municipal taxation, and international tax matters.
