Montreal-based litigation, arbitration and insolvency boutique Woods LLP regularly acts on contentious mandates involving corporate liability, shareholders’ disputes, securities litigation, class actions, insolvency, employment law and defamation. Leadership of the team is shared between Richard Vachon (class actions, arbitration); Marie-Louise Delisle (construction litigation, class action defence, professional liability); and Sylvain Rigaud (insolvency). Also noted are Cara Cameron (contractual and shareholders’ matters, white collar investigations); Louis Seveno (construction disputes); and Eric Bédard (commercial and administrative disputes). Patrick Ouellet was appointed as a Judge of the Superior Court of Quebec for the district of Montréal in April 2023. Managing partner Caroline Biron left the firm in August 2023.
