Restructuring and insolvency

Torys is based out of Toronto and acts for debtors, court officers, principal creditors and purchasers in restructuring and insolvency proceedings and transactions. The firm acts as strategic advisor to boards and senior management on restructuring matters and has been active in insolvency matters utilising reverse vesting orders (RVO). David Bish is an expert in insolvency, bankruptcy, receivership and restructuring and co-leads the team alongside Tony DeMarinis who center his practice on cross-border restructurings and cross-border M&A. Scott Bomhof, Adam Slavens and Kyle Kashuba are all well-versed in handling restructuring and insolvency matters with Kashuba focusing on the energy sector.
