Most recently, the team demonstrated its regulatory expertise in representing a long-distance grid operator before the Munich Higher Regional Court in proceedings pertaining to grid remuneration and the interpretation of the ten-year limit in accordance with Section 20a GasNEV. Fritz von Hammerstein is an expert for matters at the interface between energy and environmental law, and further strengthened these competencies with mining law expertise in supporting a cross-border natural gas extraction project in the German and Dutch sections of the North Sea. Practice head Ursula Steinkemper most recently advised on planning approval procedures for the construction of a 300 MW pumped storage power plant near the German-Austrian border. Holger Kraft is well versed in project financing and energy-related transactions.
