Advising a banking consortium comprising Commerzbank, KfW IPEX-Bank, LBBW, DZ Bank and Allianz Trade on the €2.6bn financial restructuring of MEYER WERFT, including a refinancing package supported by a €400m public investment and covering various credit lines and promissory note loans.
Advising the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein on the restructuring of Northvolt AB and its German subsidiaries following Northvolt’s Chapter 11 filing in the U.S., involving $5.8bn in debt and cross-border insolvency aspects.
Advising The KaDeWe Group GmbH on its debtor-in-possession proceedings and the sale of its operating business to Thailand’s Central Group, including structuring, employment and M&A aspects; the buyer acquired full ownership and the iconic KaDeWe building in a transaction valued at approx. €1bn.
